Wave Intertwining

Research, Design & Production

The sea breeze touched her face and the wind moved the shapes of her hair in symbiosis with the waves of the sea.

The emerald green water bounced on her eyes, coloring her face. Sinuous and impalpable lines described the dunes of the sea tracing the woman's physicality, a symbol of grace and beauty.

A woman's body is a gift, it needs to be valued and emphasized - this is the concept behind the project.

This is a commissioned work for a woman on a special day.

The shapes reflect on the elegance and sensuality typical of the 1930s. The volumes have been redesigned in a modern key by creating a dull drapey on the waistline. The use of the crepe de chine allows to make the drapery without overcrowding the dress.

The silhouette has been emphasized by inserting a very deep front neckline and letting the back loose. This, however, was embellished by inserting a handmade engagement that hides nakedness.

The emerald green color refers to a marine environment and a sense
of freshness.
Smooth shapes and colors are interrupted by a touch of black like a rock in the middle of the sea that inspires security and strength. So black gives a stiffer and mature look.
